Welcome to NH Myco-Camp 2024!
We’re thrilled to announce our 3rd year, and the first at our new venue, The World Fellowship Center, in Albany, NH! It’s exciting to have outgrown our previous venue where we gathered for the first couple years. It was cozy and warm and provided the perfect environment for bonding and nerding out over mushrooms. We believe the WFC property allows for a larger number of participants to enjoy this same experience.
This year we have lots of sleeping options from private to shared rooms that are rustic, regular, or modern, all in the main lodge, to bunk house or camping. There is a huge kitchen for returning chef Shaun Thompson and a huge dining area with a wrap around porch in the main lodge. There is a separate meeting and presentation room where we will have speakers like Bill Yule and Deana Thomas. There is a great room with fieldstone fireplace for gathering. BRING YOUR INSTRUMENTS!
The WFC property is over 400 acres and includes a beautiful lake, hills, and trails. We intend to take full advantage of the property’s trails for our forays. I, for one, am excited to see what we find there in peak mushroom season. I’m also excited to see what delicious dishes chef Shaun creates with our fungal finds.
Your registration fee will include two nights lodging plus 5 meals. At least one guided foray, a table talk, presentations by Bill Yule and Deana Thomas and a beginners talk by me, Christine. Shaun will do a cooking demo and optional workshops such as basket making or dyeing may be added. We usually end the weekend with an area foray after Sunday checkout.
A schedule of activities will be posted to this event in advance of the weekend, as plans solidify.
Descriptions for each sleeping option will be available when you click into the ticket. Bathrooms and showers are shared. There is a beautiful new bathhouse for bunkers and campers. Double beds are priced as a whole. You can split the price with a friend if you’d like to share. If you want to share a room with someone plan ahead and maybe have one person reserve both spots to guarantee placement. Or send an email and we’ll try to accommodate your request.
Ticketing fees charged by the ticketing platform are being paid by Unc Foraging.
CANCELATIONS: Funds for cancellations will be returned minus any third party processing fee, up to August 23rd. After August 23rd tickets are non-refundable.
